One tool that became totally necessary when harvesting and trimming raw cedar is a chain saw. I am on my 3rd chainsaw since starting to cut cedar. The first two were Poulan and they were okay but didn’t hold up to the use I was making of them.  I now have a Husqvarna. I should have had one of these to begin with. This saw is easy to start and when the chain is sharp is fun to use.

In this video I am first taking a limb off a dead cedar tree and then trimming a small piece to use in a new Nodus.

Be ready to turn the sound down as I got in fairly close with the camera.
